Football bookies cannot split Washington and Oregon in the outright betting for this year’s Pac-12 title.
Football betting sites have the Pac-12 conference as a tight race with Washington and Oregon leading the way. They have plenty of competition, however, so let’s see how the outright odds are shaping up.

Washington, along with Oregon, have the best NCAAF betting lines to win the Pac-12 title, but they have a tall task after losing 13 starts including nine on the defensive side of the ball. Georgia transfer Jacob Eason takes over at QB and Salvon Ahmed will man the backfield with the departure of four-year starter Myles Gaskin. Hunter Bryant is a great TE when healthy and the WR corps is a good one but lacks a big-play, deep-threat guy. The defense will be interesting with all the new faces and the main issue is the linebacker position. The Huskies host Oregon and Utah, so the schedule is in their favor.

Oregon must be happy that QB Justin Herbert is back even though he may have been the no.1 pick in the last NFL draft. He has weapons on the outside and CJ Verdell and Travis Dye will run behind an offensive line that is vastly experienced and may be one of the best in the nation. The Ducks’ defense had issues against the run last season but was great in the red zone and may be better all-round this season with more experience. All eyes will be on Oregon for their season opener against Auburn, but their biggest game may be at Washington in the middle of the season.

Utah won Pac-12 South last season and return most of their key players including QB Tyler Huntley, RB Zach Moss, and WR Britain Covey. Huntley and Moss missed several games due to injury and have to stay on the field for the Utes to win the conference title. The defense for Utah ranked second in Pac-12 last season and should be good again with Leki Fotu and Bradlee Anae deciding to stay in school to anchor the front four. While the Utes do not face Oregon this season, they have to hit the road to play USC and Washington.

Eastern Washington transfer Gage Gubrud is a chance to take over Mike Leach’s dynamic aerial offense, but two other seniors may beat him out. WSU return seven WRs and with James Washington leaving for the NFL Max Borghi has big shoes to fill in the backfield. The defense for the Cougars is no longer a laughingstock and they return many players in a unit that has improved statistically in four straight seasons. The Cougars face Oregon on the road and are also away in their season finale against Washington for the Apple Cup, which they have not won in the last six seasons.

USC are coming off their first losing season since 2000, but they have a new offensive coordinator and with JT Daniels returning the Trojans will air it out often. The RB and WR corps are loaded with talent, but the main issue in attack will be an offensive line that allowed 27 sacks last season. The defense should be good up front, but the secondary is a concern with several key players leaving school. The beginning of the season is key for USC with Stanford, Utah, and Washington in three of their first five games.
After USC the NCAAF odds drop for the other teams in the Pac-12 conference.
Arizona (+2100) must have QB Khalil Tate bounce back from an injury-marred season and the defense, which ranked 92nd in the nation last year, has to improve drastically.
Stanford (+2100) have QB K.J. Costello back, but the team needs to run the ball with power, which they did not do in last season’s four-loss campaign. The Cardinal defense slipped to 78th in the nation and has since lost its top two tacklers. Stanford have a killer early schedule with Oregon, USC, and Washington in three of their first six games.
