The women’s draw is no less chaotic, with eight of the 32 seeds – or 25 per cent – failing to clear the first hurdle.

Collins bolted into the semi-finals at the Australian Open earlier this year, but she has not done much since then. Martic will want to make decent run at the All England Club after a disappointing early exit last year.

Karen Khachanov vs Roberto Bautista Agut

Most matchups involving a Spaniard would see him thrive on clay and struggle elsewhere, but this one is different. Bautista Agut has beaten Khachanov twice on hard courts and once on grass, so that’s where your money should go.

This is one of the better matchups of the third round. Azarenka has reached the Wimbledon semi-finals twice, but her best is a ways behind her and even an out-of-touch Halep should have her measure.

Daniil Medvedev vs David Goffin

Both these players enjoyed decent hitouts leading up to Wimbledon, with Medvedev making the semis at Queen’s and Goffin reaching the final at Halle. The Belgian looks well organised and offers good value, even though this is not his preferred surface.
