The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) has announced plans to overturn regulation that places a ban on gambling affiliates.
The state’s regulation 205 CMR 256 subsection 256.01 (3) currently prevents revenue share and cost per acquisition (CPA) agreements. These limitations have hindered marketing, advertising and traditional affiliate schemes.

However, the MGC has confirmed it has been working to amend the regulations that apply to both sport wagering vendors and advertising for sport wagering.
Despite this, the Massachusetts regulator is still proceeding with caution. The MGC plans to convene representatives from impacted companies on February 26 to thoroughly discuss the issue, gather pertinent data, and assess the overall attitude towards the current measures.
Later, on March 23, the commission is expected to take its final vote on the suggested modifications and announce its verdict shortly thereafter.
