Before the season began, this was the match-up many people picked for the 2019 NFL Super Bowl.

Eleven weeks into the season and as we look at this big Patriots vs. Packers game, we still have the Patriots going back to the big game, but not so sure about the Packers.

The Packers almost handed the LA Rams their first loss of the season, but a late fumble cost the chance for Aaron Rodgers to do his magic with another comeback. Green Bay has lost two of their last three games and they are winless (0-3) on the road this season.

The Patriots are riding a five-game winning streak and they schooled the Buffalo Bills on Monday night beating them 23-6. Tom Brady has put up good numbers and has gotten help from the run game and the defense, which you can be sure will be tested this Sunday night.

These teams have not met since the 2014 season.

This season the Packers are 3-4 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 5-2 with the Patriots at 5-3 ATS with an Over/Under record of 4-4.

In the last 6 games between these non-conference teams the Packers are 4-1-1 ATS.

The Packers lost to the Rams 29-27 in their last game and the guy that fumbled late in Ty Montgomery was recently traded. In the game, they put up 359 yards while allowing 416 yards and the only turnover was the late fumble.

Rodgers had a good game facing L.A. in the loss and while he only passed for one TD he had 286 passing yards with a touchdown and Davante Adams was his main target with 133 receiving yards. Aaron jones rushed for 86 yards in the game and he has to help Rodgers out, so the star quarterback does not have to do it all.

New England has been decent at defending the run this season, but not only do they only rank 27th in the league in pass defense, but they rank 29th in the league in sacks (12).

The Patriots are coming off a 23-6 Monday Night win over the Buffalo Bills where they only had 54 more total yards (387-333), but they did not commit any turnovers and they forced two of them.

Tom Brady was solid against the Bills with 324 yards and while he did not have a touchdown pass he also was not picked off. Julian Edelman led the team with 104 receiving yards and four other players had at least 42 receiving yards. Rookie running back Sony Michel leads the Pats in rushing yards this season, but he missed the Buffalo game and is listed as questionable for this game.

This game sets up well for the Packers’ defense, as they rank fifth in the league defending the pass and only 22nd defending the run.
