The Bundesliga’s Matchday 14 is here with nine matches of top-quality German football action. Here are our free soccer betting picks for this weekend’s Bundesliga action.
Friday, December 8 – 8:30pm CET – PreZero Arena
After an impressive start to the season, TSG Hoffenheim have gone winless in their last four matches. Despite this, they still sit in sixth position on the table and will be confident of a result as they welcome Vfl Bochum this weekend. Sitting in 12th spot, Bochum have turned their form around over the last month, going undefeated through their last five matches. Although Hoffenheim should have too much quality, the contrast in form between the two sides suggests a close match.
Saturday, December 9 – 3:30pm CET – Deutsche Bank Park
After missing their match last weekend due to heavy snowfall, Bayern Munich will continue their title defence with a trip to Frankfurt. Bayern remain undefeated with just two draws this season. Sitting seventh, Frankfurt are struggling with just one point from their last three matches. Watch out for the dangerous Bayern forward Leroy Sane, who has been in excellent form this season.
Saturday, December 9 – 3:30pm CET – Voith-Arena
Two sides entrenched in a relegation battle, FC Heidenheim welcome SV Darmstadt with hopes of earning some much-needed points. Since earning promotion last season, neither side has shown much to write home about. These are the two worst defences in the Bundesliga, so expect a few goals to be scored in this one.
Saturday, December 9 – 3:30pm CET – Stadion An der Alten Forsterei
Sitting in last place, Union Berlin have been the biggest disappointment of the Bundesliga season so far. They now face a tough task against a surging Borussia Monchengladbach who have won three of their last four matches. With the European positions in sight, Gladbach will be confident of securing all three points in this one.
Saturday, December 9 – 3:30pm CET – wohninvest WESTERSTADION
With just one win from their past eight matches, Werder Bremen find themselves in a dangerous position just two points clear of the relegation zone. They now welcome Augsburg, who are undefeated in their last six Bundesliga matches. Augsburg have also won four of the last five matches between the sides and should be favoured once again.
Saturday, December 9 – 3:30pm CET – VOLKSWAGEN ARENA
Despite their poor goal difference, Freiburg have found a way to get results this season and now find themselves within touching distance of the top six. Their next test is a Wolfsburg side that has just one win since September. Wolfsburg are also coming into this match off a shorter break due to their DFB Pokal match on Tuesday, so they might be forced to rotate their squad.
Saturday, December 9 – 6:30pm CET – Signal Iduna Park
Borussia Dortmund continue their tough run of fixtures as they welcome fourth-placed RB Leipzig on Saturday night. It is always an exciting clash between these two sides, and with a top-four spot up for grabs, this match could go either way. Keep an eye on Leipzig forward Ikoma-Lois Openda, who has five goals in his last five matches.
Sunday, December 10 – 3:30pm CET – MHP Arena
First-placed Bayer Leverkusen take on third-placed VfB Stuttgart in a match with major implications for the title race. Stuttgart have won their last three matches, but they face a tough challenge against the undefeated Leverkusen. Stuttgart have won just one of 23 meetings between the two sides, and with Leverkusen performing so well, don’t expect the form to change.
Sunday, December 10 – 5:30pm CET – RheinEnergieStadion
After collecting a much-needed win last weekend, FC Koln have another opportunity to increase their gap outside the relegation zone as they host 17th-placed FSV Mainz. Two sides locked in a relegation battle, they are also the two worst attacks in the Bundesliga. Expect a tight contest with minimal chances to score.
