Friday, December 15 – 8:45pm CET – Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris
Juventus will be looking to continue their excellent form after they beat defending champions Napoli last weekend. The Italian giants have only lost once this season and will be confident as they head to Genoa on Friday night. Winless in their last four Serie A matches, Genoa will need a drastic change in form if they are any chance of an upset.
Saturday, December 16 – 3pm CET – Stadio Comunale Via del Mare
Entering this match on a run of four consecutive draws, Lecce will be keen to notch a win as they welcome the inconsistent Frosinone. The best of the promoted sides, Frosinone have shown that their best rivals some of the top six sides. However, their defence has been leaky this season, so expect this to be a close matchup between two mid-table sides.
Saturday, December 16 – 6pm CET – Stadio Diego Armando Maradona
After their disappointing loss to Juventus last weekend, Napoli have now dropped down to sixth position. Badly needing a win, they welcome Cagliari, who should be full of confidence after their comeback win over Sassuolo last week. Despite this, Napoli should have too much quality in this one, with Victor Osimhen the most dangerous option up front.
Saturday, December 16 – 8:45pm CET – Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino
Sitting just four points outside the top six, Torino have a great opportunity this weekend as they welcome the struggling Empoli. Sitting in the relegation zone with the worst attack in Serie A, Empoli have struggled to convert chances all season. In a match where Torino should be too strong, look for striker Duvan Zapata to break through.
Sunday, December 17 – 12:30pm CET – San Siro
Following their heartbreaking last-minute loss to Atalanta, AC Milan will hope to return to winning ways as they welcome Monza on Sunday afternoon. Monza have lost just one of their past six matches, sitting ninth in the standings with one of the best defences in Serie A. Although Milan should have too much quality, expect this match to be a low-scoring contest.
Sunday, December 17 – 3pm CET – Stadio Artemio Franchi
Winless since August, the 19th-placed Hellas Verona have shown slight improvement with draws in their last three matches. This weekend they face Fiorentina, who sit seventh but are coming off a shorter break due to their Europa Conference League match on Thursday night. As such, this match should be closer than expected.
Sunday, December 17 – 3pm CET – Bluenergy Stadium
Continuing their disappointing season so far, Udinese struggled as they went down to Inter Milan 4-0 last weekend. With just one win this season, they are locked in a relegation battle. This weekend they face fellow battlers Sassuolo, who have suffered consecutive losses and sit just three points clear of the drop zone. Sassuolo haven’t beaten Udinese since 2018, which should give the home side plenty of confidence.
Sunday, December 17 – 6pm CET – Stadio Renato Dall’Ara
After holding on for a draw with just nine men last weekend, AS Roma now find themselves with limited attacking options for their trip to Bologna with Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala both unavailable. Bologna are now in fifth place on the table with an excellent opportunity to jump into the top four. They are undefeated in their last 10 home matches and should be too strong for the undermanned Roma.
Sunday, December 17 – 8:45pm CET – Stadio Olimpico
Sitting top of the table, Inter Milan are locked in a fierce title tussle and need to keep winning to hold Juventus at bay. The Nerazzuri have been incredibly impressive this season, with both the best attack and defence in the Serie A. Against a disappointing Lazio side that sits 10th on the ladder, Inter should prove too strong.
Monday, December 18 – 8:45pm CET – Gewiss Stadium
Atalanta will be keen to build on their upset win over AC Milan last weekend as they welcome the last-placed Salernitana. As the visitors have by far the worst defence in Serie A, the exciting Atalanta attack should have plenty of opportunities going forward. Watch out for English forward Ademola Lookman, who scored two goals last weekend.
