Oklahoma has the inside shot at a BCS berth if they win, while West Virginia may need some help at a playoff shot if they win, considering they have two losses.

The Sooners have won five games in a row since their lone loss of the season against Texas and they are the road betting favorite in this game. They have a high scoring offense led by one of the best aerial attacks in the nation and they have scored at least 51 points in four of their last five games. Their defense has not been great on the season and in their last game they gave up 40 points to a Kansas team that is in the basement of the Big 12 standings.

WVU suffered a costly loss in their last game losing to Oklahoma State and that may have cost them a BCS berth even if they end up winning this game. They are in the same boat as the Sooners, as they have a great passing attack and a high scoring team, but they have the edge in terms of a better defense. Still, the Mountaineers gave up 45 points in their last game and they have to play better on the defensive side of the ball in this game.

This season Oklahoma is 10-1 SU with an ATS record of 4-7`and an O/U record of 10-1 and West Virginia is 8-2 SU with an ATS record of 6-4 and an O/U record of 5-6.

In their last game Oklahoma did not have their best game of the season, but they still beat Kansas 55-40. They racked up 566 total yards and they had balance on the offensive side of the football, but they also had the game’s only two turnovers and they gave up 524 total yards.

Kyler Murray is a Heisman candidate under center for the Sooners and in the Kansas game he passed for 272 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Kennedy Brooks blew up for 171 rushing yards and Murray chimed in for 99 yards on the ground.

Murray and the Sooner have been lighting up the scoreboard all season and they will be facing a West Virginia pass defense that only ranks 89th in the nation.

WVU lost to Oklahoma State 45-41 in their last game, which snapped their three-game winning streak. Not a surprise that the Mountaineers lost the game giving up more than 600 yards and they took the loss even though they forced four turnovers.

Quarterback Will Grier leads the West Virginia offense and in the loss to OSU he passed for 364 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Kennedy McKoy rushed for 148 yards and the team has three players on the season that have rushed for at least 403 yards and three that have at least 682 receiving yards.

Oklahoma has had their issues on defense this season, to say the least, and they only rank 106th in the nation defending the pass and 64th defending the run.
