Returning from the thrilling Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Formula 1 shifts focus to one of the most eagerly awaited events on the calendar: the Singapore Grand Prix, Round 18 of the 2024 season.
The action begins with Free Practice 1 at 1:30 PM SST on Friday, September 20, leading up to the main event at 8:00 PM SST on Sunday, September 22.
The Singapore Grand Prix, famously known as “The Night Race,” takes place at the Marina Bay Circuit. Renowned for its grueling conditions, it’s widely considered the toughest track on the calendar due to the high temperatures and challenging street layout.
McLaren gained momentum in the Constructors’ Championship after Oscar Piastri’s stunning win in Baku. They now hold a slight edge over Red Bull, with Ferrari still in contention. McLaren is favored to clinch the Constructors’ title at -909.09, but Ferrari, with its skilled driver lineup, offers enticing odds at +1100 via Bovada.
Given Singapore’s street circuit setup, teams will likely replicate their vehicle configurations from the Baku GP, suggesting a similar outcome for this race.
Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc have seen their odds tighten following Baku, but Lando Norris currently holds the shortest odds with the leading F1 betting sites. Max Verstappen’s struggles in Azerbaijan have led to longer odds for the Red Bull driver this weekend.

With Piastri’s recent victory, McLaren is expected to prioritise Norris to maximise his Drivers’ Championship chances. After an unfortunate yellow flag incident in Baku, Norris will be pushing for pole position in Singapore.
Despite a mishap with Carlos Sainz in Baku, Perez remains strong on street circuits. With favorable odds, a podium finish is within reach for the Red Bull driver.
Albon showed improved form in Baku, and with four DRS zones in Singapore, he has a good chance of breaking into the top 10 for the race.
