Playtech BGT Sports will continue to supply Paddy Power’s self-service betting terminals in the United Kingdom and Ireland after the two companies agreed this week to extend their partnership.
The multi-year arrangement includes a number of upgrades and new features designed to improve the overall customer experience.
“I’m very pleased to have extended our agreement,” David Newton, Paddy Power’s retail director.

“It is a critical time for LBOs (licensed betting offices) and we had a long review of our options before concluding that Playtech BGT Sports was the best one for us.
“Our partnership with them means we can continue to provide our customers with an increasing number of excellent in-shop betting options.”

Recent legislative and regulatory reforms have muddied the waters for British and Irish betting outlets, as has the meteoric rise of online gambling.
Playtech CCO John Pettit believes this latest deal highlights the company’s commitment to improving and sustaining the High Street betting shop.
