Two of the AFC’s top teams collide on the NFL betting card in Week 7 as the Baltimore Ravens host the Los Angeles Chargers. That matchup features one of our NFL Week 7 best bets, and we’ve also got plays in this Sunday’s Los Angeles Rams vs New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals vs Cleveland Browns games.
The Los Angeles Chargers (4-1) are 8-1 straight up and against the spread over their last nine games dating back to last year. The Ravens, meanwhile, are off to a 4-1 start (2-3 ATS) and have gone 10-2 (8-4 ATS) over their last 12 games.
This matchup might be too close to call when it comes to picking a winner, but it feels destined to be a high-scoring affair. Justin Herbert leads an outstanding Chargers passing attack against the fifth-worst passing defense in the NFL in Baltimore. Lamar Jackson leads Baltimore’s elite rushing attack against the Chargers’ league-worst rushing defense. All signs point to a whole lot of points.
The New York Giants (1-4) were already one of the NFL’s worst teams with a 1-3 (2-2 ATS) record heading into last Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys crushed the Giants 44-20 in that game, and New York suffered key injuries to quarterback Daniel Jones, running back Saquon Barkley, and wide receivers Kevin Golladay and Kadarius Toney. Jones and Toney are questionable to return on Sunday, while Barkley and Golladay are both ruled out.
This wasn’t a Giants team that could afford to lose talent, especially facing Los Angeles Rams team (4-1) that looks like a legitimate Super Bowl contender this year. The Rams should have no trouble cruising to a blowout win in this one.
The Arizona Cardinals (5-0) are the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL. In their last game as a betting underdog on the road against the Los Angeles Rams, the Cardinals rolled to a 37-20 win. Arizona has the second-best point differential in the NFL with 62 more points scored than allowed.
The Cleveland Browns (3-2) are a legitimately tough opponent. Both of their losses have come by razor-thin margins to two good teams in the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers, so it makes sense for the home side to be the favorite with most football betting sites. Still, considering how well the Cardinals have played this season, including a 3-0 record on the road, we’ll happily take our chances on Arizona getting points as an underdog.
