The Buffalo Bills return from their bye this Sunday to host the Miami Dolphins in NFL Week 8 as they look to bounce back from a loss in their last game. We’ve got a pick in that matchup and two more in the Jacksonville Jaguars vs Seattle Seahawks and New York Giants vs Kansas City Chiefs games in our Sunday NFL betting picks.
The Buffalo Bills (4-2-0) suffered a surprising upset loss on the road in their last game against the Tennessee Titans. Josh Allen had 353 passing yards and three touchdown passes to lead the Bills to 31 points on offense, but Buffalo’s defense had a rough game in allowing 34 points. They had allowed only 41 points combined in their previous four games.
The Miami Dolphins (1-6-0) are 0-6 straight up and 1-5 against the spread over their last six games. They have lost those six games by an average margin of 13.5 points per game, including a 35-0 loss at home to the Bills. Buffalo is the vastly superior team in this matchup and has had a week off to rest and to prepare for this game. All signs point to a blowout win for the Bills.
The Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5-0) broke a 20-game losing streak with their 23-20 win over the Miami Dolphins in their last game before the bye week. The Seattle Seahawks (2-5-0) have lost five of their last six games including a current three-game losing streak, most recently losing to the New Orleans Saints 13-10 n Monday Night Football.

If starting quarterback Russell Wilson were healthy, the Seahawks would be a much bigger favorite and would likely win easily against the Jaguars. But with backup Geno Smith starting, the offense is significantly less effective. It is also worth noting that Seattle is turning around on a short week to play this game on five days of rest while the Jaguars have a had a week off. We’re leaning towards Jacksonville winning this one outright.
Both of these teams are coming off of quite uncharacteristic performances. The New York Giants (2-5-0), who are absolutely riddled with injuries and aren’t even particularly good when healthy, just beat the Carolina Panthers 25-3 on Sunday. The Kansas City Chiefs (3-4-0), who have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL, just lost 27-3 to the Tennessee Titans.
Despite these two blowouts in different directions, the Chiefs are still a 10-point favorite in this matchup. That’s a testament to how fluky last week’s games were. Kansas City is having a surprisingly bad year in 2021, but all four of its losses have come against respectable teams with winning records. Facing a bad team that has tons of key players out injured this Sunday at home, the Chiefs should roll to a double-digit win.
