A heavyweight bout between Alan Belcher and Frank Tate will serve as the main event of this Saturday night’s BKFC Fight Night: Jackson II betting card. Here’s a preview and our best bet for the main event and the co-main event of Martin Brown vs Robbie Peralta in this weekend’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event in Jackson, Mississippi.

Main Event: Frank Tate (+200) vs Alan Belcher (-260)

Alan Belcher enjoyed a successful career in mixed martial arts with an 18-8-0 professional record and 11 knockouts. His last MMA fight came back in August of 2013, and after spending some time in retirement he returned to combat sports as a boxer in 2021. Belcher is 3-0 with three knockouts in conventional boxing matches and 2-0 with one knockout in two bare-knuckle boxing matches over the last year. If he wins this fight, he will be in line for a BKFC Heavyweight Championship bout next.

Frank Tate opened his bare-knuckle boxing career in 2020 with an 0-1-1 record, but he has picked up some momentum since then with two straight knockout victories over Josh Burns and Joey Beltrans. The 46-year-old went 6-7 as a professional MMA fighter before moving into bare-knuckle boxing. Tate’s recent form has been solid, but Belcher is the younger and more talented fighter; look for him to keep his undefeated streak in boxing alive with a win in this one.

Robbie Peralta (+160) vs Martin Brown (-200)

Martin Brown compiled a 14-5 professional record in mixed-martial arts and actually ended his MMA career on a high note as the Titan FC Lightweight Champion. Brown went 3-0-0 in his first three bare-knuckle boxing matches to earn a shot at the BKFC Lightweight Championship in February, but he lost by decision to Luis Palomino. Robbie Peralta meanwhile is 2-0 through his first two bare-knuckle boxing bouts after wrapping up his MMA career with a 19-9 record. Brown deserves to be the favorite as the more polished and established bare-knuckle boxer in this bout, though at these odds we feel like Peralta is worth a shot in what could be a more even matchup than the sportsbooks are projecting.
