Current BKFC Light Heavyweight champion Lorenzo Hunt will put his title on the line when he takes on Joe Riggs in the main event of this Saturday’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 24. We’ve got a BKFC best bet for that matchup as well as the co-main event of Leo Bercier vs Tyler Vogel on this exciting fight card taking place in Great Falls, Montana.
Lorenzo Hunt has only one blemish on his bare-knuckle boxing record in the form of a TKO loss back at BKFC 10 in 2020. Hunt is a perfect 5-0-0 since then with four knockout wins over that stretch. His most recent win came via unanimous decision over Hector Lombard at BKFC 22, securing him the BKFC Light Heavyweight Championship. He is 7-1-0 across eight career bare-knuckle fights with six knockout wins.
Joe Riggs wrapped up an impressive 49-18-1 professional MMA career with an 8-1-1 record over his last 10 professional MMA fights. Riggs opened his BKFC career with back-to-back wins over Brok Weaver and Heriberto Tovar, but he is just 1-1-1 in his last three fights with the promotion since then. While Riggs is a strong fighter, Hunt has more experience and success to date in the bare-knuckle arena and is the pick to successfully defend his title in this main event bout.
Louie Lopez looked great in his BKFC debut, picking up a first-round knockout over Gabe Saccheti at BKFC Fight Night: New York in November. Rusty Crowder meanwhile has had mixed results in bare-knuckle boxing, alternating wins and losses through his first six professional fights to carry a 3-3-0 record into this featherweight matchup against Lopez.
This feels like a good spot to take a shot on the underdog. Lopez looked great in his debut, but he wasn’t really tested as the fight ended with a quick knockout. Crowder has been with BKFC since 2018 and has never been knocked out with all three of his losses to date coming by decision. It’s possible Lopez passes this test, but at these odds we’ll take the far more experienced bare-knuckle boxer in Crowder to add another win to his resume.
The bare-knuckle boxing crowd taking in this event in Great Falls and those watching the stream worldwide will have a card of 12 fights in total to enjoy on Saturday night. Here’s a list of the betting odds on the rest of the card leading up to the co-main event.
