Dakota Cochrane and Josh Dyer step into the main event slot in this Friday’s BKFC Fight Night Omaha after the original main event of Bec Rawlings vs Britain Hart was cancelled due to Hart pulling out of the fight with a medical emergency. We’ve got a betting preview and prediction for the main event and the co-main event of Houston Alexander vs Jason Fish in this Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event.
Dakota Cochrane suffered the first loss of his bare knuckle fighting career last September when he was knocked out by Mike Richman at BKFC 21. Cochrane was a perfect 3-0 through his first three fights in the BKFC. The 36-year-old is also still active in mixed-martial arts with a 34-13 record in MMA action and a 7-1 record in his last eight MMA fights.

Josh Dyer has had a far less impressive MMA career with a 3-4 record in seven professional fights. Dyer is 1-1 through his first two BKFC fights, beating Jared Warren in his debut at BKFC 12 and losing to Lorenzo Hunt in his most recent bout at BKFC 17. There just isn’t any compelling reason to go against Cochrane in this fight; he has far more experience and success in combat sports and should be hungry to bounce back with a win after losing his last BKFC fight.
Houston Alexander opened his BKFC career with a first-round knockout win over Wes Combs in September. Alexander’s MMA career came to an end on a 1-6 skid, and he’s now looking for success in bare-knuckle boxing at 50 years old. Jason Fish is no spring chicken himself at 42 years old; he’s 2-1 in BKFC action with two knockout wins and one knockout loss in his bare knuckle boxing career to date. This looks to be a pretty even matchup on paper between two fighters that will be looking for a knockout and aren’t likely to go the judge’s cards, so we’ll take Fish getting some good value as an underdog.
The bare-knuckle boxing crowd watching this event in Omaha and those streaming the BKFC event worldwide will have a card of 11 fights in total to enjoy on Friday night. Here’s a list of the betting odds currently available on the rest of the card leading up to the co-main event.
