Heading into the final stage of the season, the Bundesliga action continues with nine matches across the weekend. Here are our free soccer betting tips for every game of Matchday 29.
Friday, April 12 – 8:30pm CET – WWK Arena
Sitting just outside the top six, it’s now or never for FC Augsburg if they are going to push for a European position. They come in as betting favourites for this clash with the 13th-placed Union Berlin, as Jess Thorup’s men are unbeaten in their past five home matches. The visitors have the second-worst attacking record in the Bundesliga, and with Augsburg scoring 16 goals in their past six matches, Union should struggle to keep up.
Saturday, April 13 – 3:30pm CET – Allianz Arena
After losing their past two Bundesliga matches, the pressure of a failed title defence has seemingly overwhelmed Bayern Munich. Facing relegation contenders FC Koln, the Bavarian giants are heavily favoured with online bookmakers. While an upset is highly unlikely, note that Thomas Tuchel’s men have conceded 10 goals in their last five matches and plenty of squad rotation is expected between Champions League fixtures.
Saturday, April 13 – 3:30pm CET – Vonovia Ruhrstadion
Following their upset win over Bayern last weekend, FC Heidenheim have now gone unbeaten in their past three matches. On the road, they enter as underdogs against VfL Bochum, who sit just three points clear of the relegation zone after going six matches without a win. History between the sides shows that Heidenheim have not beaten Bochum since 2018, but given the visiting side’s solid form, expect this match to be close.
Saturday, April 13 – 3:30pm CET – BORUSSIA-PARK
Locked in a battle for fourth spot with RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund are favourites on the road after winning five of their past six matches. It’s a dangerous clash against Monchengladbach, who have still taken some big scalps despite their disappointing season. The Borussen Derby has been a goalfest in recent times, with over six scored in each of the past four matches, so expect plenty of action at both ends.
Saturday, April 13 – 3:30pm CET – MEWA ARENA
Despite sitting in the relegation zone, FSV Mainz have been in excellent form with three clean sheets in a row — including a 4-0 win over SV Darmstadt last Saturday. Welcoming the eighth-placed TSG Hoffenheim, the hosts come in as unlikely favourites with top Bundesliga betting sites. Although the visitors are a better side, they have won just one of their past 11 away matches and haven’t kept a clean sheet since September.
Saturday, April 13 – 3:30pm CET – Red Bull Arena
On a run of six matches unbeaten in all competitions, RB Leipzig have returned to their attacking best. With no room for error in their top-four fight, they are heavily favoured with soccer bookmakers to beat a Wolfsburg outfit that has just one win from its past 13 matches. Leipzig striker Lois Openda added another two goals and two assists to his tally last Saturday, so back him to be the main scoring threat once again.
Saturday, April 13 – 6:30pm CET – MHPArena
Unbeaten in their past 10 Bundesliga matches, VfB Stuttgart are now level on points with Bayern Munich as they edge closer to securing a top-four finish. This week they welcome the tricky Eintracht Frankfurt, who sit in the top six and boast the most draws in the competition. At the front of Stuttgart’s fairytale run is Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy, who has scored seven goals in his past seven matches and offers solid value to hit the scoreboard.
Sunday, April 14 – 3:30pm CET – Marck-Stadion am Bollenfalltor
In last place and winless in their past 22 matches, SV Darmstadt have continued to disappoint this season. Welcoming the ninth-placed SC Freiburg, it is hard to see their form turning around. The visitors have won two of their past three matches, and given they are still in contention for a European spot, they should be too good.
Sunday, April 14 – 5:30pm CET – BayArena
In the midst of one of the best-ever Bundesliga seasons, Bayer Leverkusen have the chance to clinch the title with five matches still to play. Xabi Alonso’s charges have rarely shown any weakness all season, and facing a Werder Bremen side that is winless in its past seven games, don’t expect them to falter. A critical part of Leverkusen’s success has been the attacking output of their wingbacks, so back Alex Grimaldo to add to his nine-goal tally.
