The NBA playoffs are still kicking and the first round is nearly over. There are some series’ that could go either way but overall, the writing is on the wall for the majority of these first round matchups. Regardless, the playoffs may not be as exciting as some hoped but there have still been some awesome moments. Each of the teams are filled with talent and the display of ability has been unreal. There are three games on Monday, and we have the best picks from the slate.
This series is almost over. The Celtics are up 3-0 and the Nets look pretty lifeless. That being said, the Nets won’t get swept. It will be hard for the Celtics to be motivated with such a comfy lead and the Nets should be able to win a game at home. Both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have been pretty bad this series and one of them is due for a big playoff performance. The Nets won’t go down easy and they should be able to grab a game off the Celts.
The Celtics have played stifling defense for the duration of this series. At some point, the Nets offense will be able to break them down and it’s likely that happens in this game. Defense in basketball is effort based and with such a big lead, the Celtics will have a lapse in effort. It goes against everything we’ve seen from this series but teams tend to have let down spots in 3-0 matchups. The Nets have too good of an offense to go down in a sweep, so take the Nets and the points and hope Durant produces something special.
This NBA series has quietly been one of the best series’ and is very evenly matched. It’s tied up 2-2 and each game has been very close. Neither of these teams are true title contenders, so this series has flown under the radar but it has been very entertaining. Ultimately, the Jazz are a better team and should be able to control this game. They will be able to slow the game down and control a hobbled Luka Doncic. The Mavericks are very reliant on three pointers and if those don’t go down, the Jazz should win comfortably. Take the Jazz plus the points in a matchup that should be very even.
