While the NFC West has traditionally been one of the best divisions in the NFL, a few of the teams faltered last season and will be hoping to bounce back. Let’s get into our NFC West betting picks for the 2023 NFL season.

The San Francisco 49ers are set up to have another successful NFL season. That being said, there is a major question about their quarterback stocks. While coach Kyle Shanahan is extremely capable of getting the best from his signal-callers, his top option is Brock Purdy, the sophomore seventh-round pick. Purdy is a fine player, but he limits the Niners’ upside and we will stay away from betting on them.

After trading away star quarterback Russell Wilson, the Seattle Seahawks were able to finish 9-8 last year with journeyman Geno Smith as their signal-caller. This year, they should be even better. After what appears to be a solid draft and some shrewd free agency moves, they have the potential to push the Niners off the top of the NFC West. At +210, however, we will stay away from betting on that.
Seattle’s line is set at 8.5 wins, and the over at -142 looks a solid play. If the Seahawks can stay healthy, there is no reason to doubt their ability to repeat their nine wins from last year. Their young defense should improve, and the amount of offensive talent they possess will make Smith’s job quite easy.

After five straight campaigns with at least nine wins, the LA Rams battled injuries all last season en route to a 5-12 record. But with coach Sean McVay at the helm, this team has Super Bowl potential every year. Of course, that is lofty, but LA have a high ceiling and offer great value to win the division at +850 with the top football betting sites.
Because of that, we will also take the Rams for more than 6.5 wins at +110. That’s an auto-bet. This team is one year removed from a Super Bowl win, and while they have an ageing squad, health is the only thing holding them back.

The Cardinals are tanking and will be without star quarterback Kyler Murray for a good portion of the season. Murray is returning from an ACL injury, and if the season starts off poorly, he may sit the entire season. Considering their roster, that is highly likely. The Cardinals have shipped out a lot of their best players and are clearly positioning themselves for the future, so we’re staying away from them.
