The Jets fell back to earth in their last game losing to the Dolphins 20-12 after putting up 48 points in their season opener. Sam Darnold did pass for 334 yards, but made some rookie mistakes and had two interceptions. The Browns lost their last game in the Big Easy facing the Saints 21-18 where they missed two field goals and two extra points. The Browns are due and they will win and cover in this game.
The Bengals have won their first two games where they scored 34 points in each one. They are balanced so far on the season ranking 17th in both passing and rushing yards per game. After giving up only eight points in their season opener the Panthers gave up 31 points in their last game, which was a road loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Back at home, Cam Newton and company will play well, especially running the ball, and the Panthers will win and cover giving three points.
The Broncos have had two late comebacks in their two wins and the run game has been solid ranking second in the league in rushing yards per game. After only giving up three points in their season opening win the Ravens gave up 34 points in losing their last game. Take Denver to at least cover in this AFC matchup.
The Giants have lost both of their games and while it looks like they have a good young running back in rookie Saquon Barkley the team only ranks tied for 29th in the league in points per game. The Texans also fell to 0-2 with a loss in their last game falling to the Tennessee Titans 20-17 even though they out-gained them 437 yards to 283 yards. Houston will take this game and cover facing the Giants’ team that may be in for a very long season.
The Raiders looked like they would win their first game last week, but allowed the Denver Broncos to come back to win. They only rank 24th in the league in opponents’ ppg and 28th in ppg. The Dolphins are a surprising 2-0 and they have gotten solid play from quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who missed all last season with an injury. I see a close game in this one, which is why the Raiders are the pick.
The Bills are 0-2, have quarterback issues, and their defense ranks 31st in the league in points allowed. The Vikings are coming off a rare tie where they made a big comeback against the Green Bay Packers, but three missed field goals cost them. With the defense the Vikings have they are the pick in this game, even giving 16.5 points.
The Saints got into the win column in their last game, but it was not an impressive win beating the Cleveland Browns 21-18. The Falcons also won their last game with a solid outing from Matt Ryan, who not only had a solid game in the air, but also two rushing touchdowns. Take Atlanta at home in this NFC South match-up.
The Colts were impressive in their last game on the road beating the Washington Redskins 21-9. Can they beat the defending Super Bowl champions in their house this Sunday? The Eagles have issues, but they are still loaded and at home and they will win and cover in this non-conference affair.
The Titans have injury concerns at QB, but still picked up a win in their last game beating Houston 20-17 even though they were out-gained by 154 yards. The Jags are off to a 2-0 start and they beat the Patriots 31-20 in a rematch of last season’s AFC title game. Take Jacksonville in this AFC South match-up.
The 49ers won their last game to even their record at -1-1, but they have failed to cover in both games. The Chiefs are 2-0 and Patrick Mahomes already has 10 touchdowns. The Chiefs have too many weapons on offense and they will win and cover the spread in this game.

The Packers are coming off a tie in their last game where they allowed the Vikings to make a big comeback in the 4th quarter. The Redskins lost their last game 21-9, which was a far cry from their season opener where they looked great in a 24-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Aaron Rodgers and company will get it done in D.C. in this game winning and covering the spread.
The battle for La La Land takes place in this game between the 1-1 Chargers and the 2-0 Rams. The Rams are ESPN’s top team in the power rankings, but Phillip Rivers and the Chargers will give them a game, which is why they will cover.
The Cowboys got their first win of the season in their last game playing solid defense. They take on the 0-2 Seahawks, who have had issues on defense and in their last loss Russell Wilson was sacked six times. Take Dallas in this one to cover, even on the road.
The Bears are 1-1 and to show how bad the Cardinals have looked Chicago is the road betting favorite. The Cardinals have scored a grand total of six points in their first two games and are coming off a bad 34-0 loss to the Rams in their last game. The Bears’ defense is coming together and they will win and cover in the desert in this game.
The Pats suffered their first loss of the season in their last game falling to the Jaguars 31-20. New England will win and cover in this Sunday Night game facing a 0-2 Lions’ team that ranks tied for 31st in the league in points allowed.
The Steelers have to be one of the most disappointing teams early in the season and they face the Bucs on Monday night and they are one of the more surprising teams. Even as a backup quarterback Tampa’s Ryan Fitzpatrick has already passed for 819 yards and eight touchdowns in leading the Bucs to a 2-0 start. Take the Buccaneers in this one even as the betting underdog at home.
