Bovada has Serbia as the slight betting favorite in this match at +160 with Switzerland at +195 and a draw at +205. The Over/Under for this match is at 2.5 goals.Little surprising that Switzerland is the underdog in this Group E encounter since they are the 6th ranked team in the world, according to FIFA, and they played Brazil to a 1-1 draw in their World Cup opener. Serbia is the only team in the group that has three points, but they got it facing the weakest team in the group in Costa Rica.
This is the first time that Serbia and Switzerland have faced each other.
While Serbia lost the time of possession battle in the opening 1-0 win over Costa Rica they kept a clean sheet and bagged the three points. Aleksandar Kolarov from AS Roma scored the lone goal on a great free kick in the beginning of the 2nd half.
The Swiss played a great defensive game in keeping star-studded Brazi and Neymar to only one goal. They had the ball 45% of the time, which was great facing Brazil and if they can top the time of possession in this match they will be in good shape. They have to press the envelope more on the attack to get the three points, but at least in Serbia they will not be facing a great attack like Brazil has.

Steven Zuber scored the goal for the Swiss in their opening match and stars Xherdan Shaqiri and Granit Xhaka played well in the midfield. Overall, Switzerland does not have a great attack up front, but many of their scoring chances come on the counter and from the midfield. Switzerland will be facing a solid Serbian defense led by the duo of Luka Milivojevic and Nemanja Matic, who both play in the English Premier League.
The Serbs do not look to make any changes to the starting 11. Aleksandar Mitrovic is the striker up from in their 4-2-31 formation and getting him the ball around the box will be key to the Serbs. That will mean they will a good match from the midfield, which is a tall task since the Swiss are so strong in that area of the pitch.
Fabian Lukas Schar and Manuel Obafemi Akanji are a couple of defenders that played great in the match facing Brazil and the Serbs have a tough nut to crack getting past these guys.
This match may be a little tense, as four Swiss players, including Shaqiri and Xhaka, have Kosovar origins and they have come out and stated they will have extra-effort in this match facing their Balkan neighbor that does not recognize them.

We’re predicting an even match here — a tense contest in which both sides should have their chances.
We have to go with the Swiss in this encounter, as they have the better midfield and defense. They are not known for their attack, but they will get it done up front on the pitch in this match and beat Serbia 2-1.
