Steady money for LA Dodgers in MLB World Series betting

IF the odds are anything to go by, the MLB World Series title will be heading to Los Angeles for the first time since 1988.

The Dodgers are -166.67 favourites in the outright betting at Bet365.com, while the Houston Astros are pegged at +145.

Although both sides dominated their respective divisions in the regular season, LA topped the combined American League and National League standings with 104 wins at a percentage of 0.642.

They did so by winning a nation-high 57 home games, which is why they are paying -172.41 to take out game one at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday night.

Kershaw firms in World Series MVP betting

Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw is the standout option for the 2017 World Series MVP award.

The 29-year-old Texan heads the betting at +300 with William Hill after another big performance in LA’s playoff win over the Chicago Cubs.

Dallas Keuchel and Justin Verlander (both +600) will be instrumental to Houston’s title tilt, as will star second-baseman and batting average leader Jose Altuve (+800).
