With Super Bowl LII just around the corner, we’ve found what we believe are the five best bets that you should check out before the game.
There are hundreds of bets available on just about everything you can imagine for this year’s NFL Super Bowl LII. This includes everything from what color Pink’s hair will be when she sings the national anthem to how many balls Tom Brady will have deflated which player will score the last points in the game.
We’ve looked through all of them at a variety of sportsbooks to find what we believe are the five best bets that punters should take a look at before Sunday’s game.
#1 – Tom Brady to be Super Bowl LII MVP
The closest line to this that we could find is -143 at bet365, and that’s a huge difference. We think most sportsbooks are overestimating the effects of Brady’s hand injury that happened in practice, and with Rob Gronkowski’s recent concussion, his odds of winning MVP have dropped substantially.
If the Patriots win, and they’re the clear favorite, it’s hard to imagine any path that doesn’t lead to Brady being the MVP, and Bovada has the best odds we can find.
#2 – New England Patriots to beat a 4.5-point spread
Bet on the New England Patriots to beat the 4.5-point spread at BetMGM at -105
The news over Brady’s hand and Gronkowski’s head have moved the point spread lines around quite a bit. Everyone still has the spread at 4.5, but bet365 has the best line by far at -105. If New England wins, it’s probably going to be by a significant margin, so we think this is a good bet if you’re in favor of the Patriots, especially paired with the bet for Brady for MVP listed above.
#3 – Pink’s Hair color during the national anthem
Bet on Pink’s hair to be her classic white/blonde at Bovada at -300
We know this bet is a bit goofy. However, we still think that Pink will keep her classic look during the national anthem to the point that we don’t think -300 is a strong enough line. She rarely changes her hair color for anything anymore, and the artist has calmed down quite a bit on her public escapades in the past several years.
We think this line is influenced a bit too much by her past behavior to do crazy things like change her hair color up all the time, so we definitely think it’s worth a bet.
#4 – Longest completion by Tom Brady (BETMGM)
Bet on Tom Brady’s longest completion being more than 37.5 yards at BETMGM at -105
Brandin Cooks and Danny Amendola have both been looking like beasts throughout the playoffs, and there’s no reason to think that they won’t continue that on Sunday. We really think there’s value in this -105 line at BETMGM for Brady to throw a pass longer than 37.5 yards as a result, and we also think this line may be overestimating the effects of his recent hand injury.
#5 – Patriots first quarter race to six points (bet365)
Bet on the Patriots to be the first to score six points in the first quarter at BETMGM at +105
Nick Foles is going to likely be shaken up in the first quarter of his first Super Bowl, but Brady is going to be cool and ready to throw some down bombs. With bet365, you can bet at +105 that Brady will get to six points in the first quarter before Foles will, and we think that’s a very good bet.
