The biggest sporting event in the world will begin in Russia this weekend and the question is, who will take home the FIFA World Cup?
Brazil has the most World Cups in the history of the tournament and will start as favourites to add to their trophy cabinet in Russia this summer. However, Germany is right behind them in terms of betting and come in with confidence as the defending champion.
Here is a short look at the teams with the best betting odds at Bovada to win the World Cup:

Brazil: Brazil is loaded with great players up and down the pitch and its attack is a great one, led by the superstar, Neymar. The Brazilians are not in the toughest of groups, but not the easiest one either. They may have something to prove after the last World Cup, which was on home soil and where they were embarrassed in the semifinals, losing to Germany 7-1.
Germany: Germany is a team with no real weaknesses and a lot of world-class talent with the likes of Toni Kroos and Thomas Müller. They play great as a team and have one of the best defenses in the tournament. Germany looks to be the first repeat champion of the World Cup since Brazil did it in 1958 and 1962.
Spain: Spain won the World Cup in 2010 and feature some of the best players in the world with the likes of David Silva, Sergio Ramos, Pique, and Sergio Busquets. Their attack is not what it once was, but they have a great defense and midfield. They have to face Portugal in their group, which is one of the weaker ones along with Morocco and Iran.
France: France has a ton of talent with stars like Paul Pogba, N’Golo Kante, and Adrien Rabiot, but they have had issues at the World Cup. That may be an understatement, as in two of their last four World Cup appearances they have failed to advance out of the group stage while in the other two they were the runner-up and made the quarterfinals four years ago.
Argentina: Argentina lost to Germany in the finals of the last World Cup and this may be the last tournament for superstar Lionel Messi. The team has the talent, especially up front, but they are in a tough group this summer along with Croatia, Iceland, and Nigeria.
Belgium: Belgium is stacked with star players such as Vincent Kompany, Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard. They have one of the best midfields in the tournament and while they have been stacked for a few years, they have lost in the quarterfinals of the last two major tournaments in the 2016 European Championships and 2014 World Cup.
England: England has the players such as Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling and a great midfield, but they have issues in who will be the #1 goalie. On top of that in their last four World Cups their best finish was a quarterfinals appearance and they did not advance out of the group stage four years ago. They also face a tough Belgium team in group play this summer.
Portugal: Portugal has Cristiano Ronaldo and a solid all around team and they are the defending European Championship winners. However, they have Spain in their group and if they lose that match they will likely have to play another major power in the knockout stage if they advance out of the group.
